I also play some AU versions of Duo, and figured I should get a list. Some have their own journals too.

Duo as a Borrower. I have two versions of this idea, one largely following canon with his never meeting any of the guys face to face and fighting inside them purely in his gundam and behind the scenes. At the end of the war, he does his best to vanish, possibly keeping contact through vid calls. The second is fully AU. Duo avoids humans at all costs, living inside the walls and under the floors of the house he's claimed. Could be between homes or trying the wild thing for a while.
Banshee (bansidhe)
This is one I've played with in the past, and my favorite version keeps to canon for the most part. Basically there are lots of fey and creatures living among humans in hiding. He happens to be one of them. For a twist, one possibility is that fey are from the other side of an opening rift and becoming publicly known.
